However, just a warning to other potential buyers, we recently bought a Kylemore built home in the West Village (house was built in 2017) and we discovered a major structural crack in the foundation of the detached garage, which our contractor believes stems from how it was originally constructed. The repair will be expensive, and although the home is just past the 7-year Tarion warranty period, Kylemore declined to assist or even review the issue. We bought the house out of warranty but our contractor believes the issues popped up well before then.
It’s disappointing to encounter such a serious structural problem in a home from a premium-branded builder, and I’d strongly encourage potential buyers to inspect carefully, especially around foundation and garage areas, and not rely solely on the builder’s reputation. And watch super carefully for those Tarion warranty milestones.Show less
