HGTV designer Leanne Ford has a thing for statement-making lighting. Fans of Restored By the Fords may recall the time she created a chandelier out of a literal fishing net, and yet somehow it turned out incredibly chic. She recently teamed up with Target to design a limited-time collection of lighting options for the retailer’s Project 62 line.

“Lighting is everything,” says Ford in a recent interview with A Bullseye View, Target’s corporate blog. “It’s one of the most important elements in a space, if not the most important. And if you pick the right piece, it doubles as a work of art.”

The collection includes more than 30 modern and affordable pieces, starting from just $29.99. True to her signature color palette, many of the designs come in black, white, brass or natural. There are oversized pendants, industrial-inspired sconces, sculptural floor lamps and table lamps with touchable texture.

Ford took even the smallest details into consideration when designing her collection. The light bulbs are included (a rarity in the design world) and the cords are fabric-covered, so there’s no need to hide them away.

That fishing net chandelier Ford DIY-ed on Restored by the Fords? Now you can reel it in to your own home, too. “I was excited to recreate that piece because I was slightly sad to give it away to a client,” admits Ford.

Another favorite of hers is the large-scale metal dome pendant in a brassy finish. “I really wanted to offer oversized options,” says Ford. “The bigger the better. Seriously, when in doubt go for the bigger size — it will create a bigger impact in your space.”

Target’s Project 62 + Leanne Ford collection will be available in-store and online starting February 10th, which gives us just enough time to KonMari our current lighting situation.
