Previously, the rental property had been owned by the same family for decades, according to Vespa Properties Group<\/a>, which brokered the deal.<\/p>\n The buyer, Lonicera Partners, is renovating the eight-unit building, which had four market-rate units and four rent-regulated units at the time of sale. The 50-foot-tall structure features a central dark wood staircase with residences on both sides. The existing apartments are three-bedroom or four-bedroom residences \u2014 each at least 1,400 square feet, Brownstoner<\/a> reported. Interiors had formal dining rooms, hardwood floors, bay windows, decorative fireplaces, moldings, transoms and dumbwaiters.<\/p>\n BK to the Fullest<\/a> rhapsodized about the 30′ by 90′ building, which is unattached on three sides and touts more than 20 windows per floor: “173 Amity Street is a serious flagship property. It listed at $5.5M and closed for $4.525M cash last month.
