Nymphas Show Bar\/The Red Sea Star,\u00a0Israel<\/h2>\n

Before it was abandoned, Israel\u2019s Nymphas Show Bar<\/a> was the world\u2019s first and only underwater strip club (notice the dancing pole in the first image). Prior to that, the space served as a restaurant called The Red Sea Star<\/a>. To access the establishment, patrons walked across a 230-foot bridge and down a flight of stairs.<\/p>\n

Fish House,\u00a0Singapore<\/h2>\n

The u-shaped basement of Singapore’s “Fish House” is adorned in acrylic windows, which look out into the property’s moat-like pool.<\/p>\n

Water Discus Hotel, Maldives and Dubai<\/h2>\n

Both Dubai and the Maldive Islands are supposedly<\/a> getting their own version of this luxury underwater retreat. Designed by Polish engineering firm Deep Ocean Technology, the \u201cWater Discus Hotel\u201d will have 21 underwater suites, connected to above-water amenities by a glass tunnel. The Sci-Fi-like design has been in the concept stages for some time, but at last word<\/a>, was inching closer to becoming a reality.<\/p>\n

Conrad Maldives Rangal, Maldives<\/h2>\n

For a considerable price, the Ithaa Undersea Restaurant<\/a> at the Conrad Maldives Rangali\u00a0can be rented out as a private hotel suite. The glass-encased room sits 16 feet below the water’s surface, offering guests panoramic views of the surrounding coral gardens.<\/p>\n

Anantara Kihavah Villas, Maldives<\/h2>\n

Notice a trend here? Maldives has cornered the market on underwater living. This sunken restaurant, simply known as “Sea,” is part of the\u00a0Anantara Kihavah resort in\u00a0Baa Atoll.<\/p>\n

Otter Inn, Sweden<\/h2>\n

The sleeping accommodations in this floating cabin are\u00a0located beneath the buoyant platform. The “Otter Inn” is moored in Sweden’s Lake M\u00e4laren and can be rented out<\/a>\u00a0for about $70 a night.<\/p>\n

Atlantis The Palm, Dubai<\/h2>\n

There are actually two “underwater” rooms at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai:\u00a0Neptune and Poseidon. We put underwater in quotations because the suites aren’t actually surrounded by water, rather, their floor-to-ceiling windows are pressed up against the resort’s massive fish tank<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Manta Resort,\u00a0Zanzibar<\/h2>\n

The Manta Resort<\/a> on Zanzibar’s Pemba Island has a\u00a0sub-aquatic suite\u00a013 feet below the ocean surface. At night, spotlights beneath the windows attract squids and other light-positive creatures.\u00a0A 10-night stay in the underwater will set you back about $6,715.<\/p>\n

Mile Low Club,\u00a0Caribbean Sea<\/h2>\n

The Mile Low Club<\/a> is an opulent luxury submarine that will ferry guests around the Caribbean Sea for\u00a0$290,430 a night. Expensive, yes, but that covers the cost of the vessel’s three-person crew — the captain, chef and personal butler — as well as a \u201cfree rose petal scattering service\u201d and champagne breakfast in bed.<\/p>\n
