The <a href=\"http:\/\/a810-bisweb.nyc.gov\/bisweb\/JB2ScheduleAServlet?requestid=6&amp;passjobnumber=121184547&amp;passdocnumber=01&amp;allbin=1024818\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external\">Schedule A<\/a> filing indicates that the new levels would be occupied by apartments \u2014 121 total. Morris Adjmi Architects is the architect of record for the expansion.<\/p>\n<p>Starwood Hotels &amp; Resorts sold the 665-key hotel in 2012 for $275 million in cash, the <a href=\"http:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/2012\/10\/times-square-hotel-trades-for-275-million\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external\">New York Observer<\/a> reported. The buyers were affiliates of Rockpoint Group, Goldman Sachs&#8217; Real Estate Principal Investment Area and Highgate Holdings. Under the deal, Highgate would operate the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Starwood announced in April 2013 that it plans to sell $2 billion to $3 billion of hotels in two to three years, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/2013-04-04\/starwood-to-sell-as-much-as-3-billion-worth-of-hotels.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external\">Bloomberg<\/a> reported. The company, based in Stamford, Connecticut, owns the St. Regis, Sheraton and Westin brands.<\/p>\n<div id='pressboard-ad-sponsorship-msg'><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The
