A new eight-story building is slow-cooking at East Harlem’s 168 East 100th Street.<\/p>\n

The new development, located between Lexington and Third avenues, will have 16 apartments, according to the plan exam application filed June 19th<\/a>. Rising on a vacant lot, the 19,159-square-foot building will be designed by Melamed Architect.<\/p>\n

The developer, HDMI Holdings LLC, acquired the property in 2012 for $900,000. A year earlier, it purchased the five-story building next door at 170 East 100th Street for $1.96 million, according to public records.<\/p>\n

The apartments in the new building will include garden units, one-bedrooms with roof terraces and two-bedrooms, according to the site of Melamed Architect. Here’s a (tentative?) rendering:<\/p>\n
