The properties contain a total of four ground-floor retail spaces and 43 apartments. 170-172 East 2nd is six stories tall, with 34 residential units; 174 East 2nd is five stories tall, with 9 apartments.<\/p>\n<p>The sale was handled by Itzhaki Properties&#8217; Edan Cohen and Yona Edelkopf.<\/p>\n<p>Allen Ginsberg lived in apartment 16 at 170 East 2nd from 1958 to 1961, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2000\/08\/27\/realestate\/habitats-170-east-second-street-ginsberg-lived-here-you-know-the-poet.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external\">The New York Times<\/a>. In that rental, he wrote the widely praised &#8220;Kaddish,&#8221; an elegy for his mother .<\/p>\n<div
