Not only does\u00a0Geranium Homes<\/a>\u00a0build well-designed and innovative\u00a0new homes and communities,\u00a0it also knows\u00a0the importance of contributing to the neighbourhoods in which it builds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The award-winning\u00a0builder\u00a0recently presented Habitat for Humanity, Northumberland\u00a0with a $5,500 cheque to\u00a0help this organization\u2019s fund-raising campaign to\u00a0construct affordable homes within\u00a0Port Hope.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeranium Homes is an example of someone who builds beautiful homes for families, yet also recognizes the need to partner with us to provide affordable homes for those who may not otherwise enjoy home ownership,\u201d said Meaghan Macdonald,\u00a0Habitat Northumberland\u2019s\u00a0Executive Director who accepted the cheque.<\/p>\n

Habitat aims to raise $75,000 to build its seventh home in Port Hope, which will\u00a0be its\u00a044th property in Northumberland County. Thanks to\u00a0Geranium\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0charitable donation, the campaign has kicked off with a bang.<\/p>\n

When Geranium first launched sales for\u00a0The Verandas<\/a>, an all-new bungalow community\u00a0on\u00a0Marsh Road in Port Hope,\u00a0the company committed to donate $100 for every\u00a0home sold\u00a0to support\u00a0Habitat.<\/p>\n

And the builder is just getting started \u2014 it expects to make another donation next year\u00a0when the\u00a0second phase\u00a0nears completion.<\/p>\n

The development will boast a landscaped park with walking trails, covered front porches on each lot and a gazebo that overlooks the pond. Port Hope\u2019s charming downtown area is also minutes away.<\/p>\n
