\"absolute<\/a>While we’re at it, apologies are in order for New York and Hong Kong too.<\/p>\n

Absolute World<\/a> was named the world’s best new skyscraper of 2012 by building data extraordinaire, Emporis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The list, released on September 17th, saw Absolute World<\/a> take the coveted top spot, ahead of 10 other impressive buildings located in cities like Istanbul, Guangzhou, Doha and Abu Dhabi. The towers were chosen by an international jury from a pool of over 300 skyscrapers.<\/p>\n

Designed by MAD architects<\/a> and Burka Architects Inc.<\/a>, the 56 storey, twin residential towers in the bustling city just west of Toronto have attracted plenty of attention abroad including a prize<\/a> from the prestigious Chicago-based Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.<\/p>\n

Absolute World<\/a> was developed by Cityzen<\/a> and Fernbrook Homes<\/a> and still has units on the market, so if you’re interested in living in one of the best buildings in the world, you know where to look<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Calgary’s The Bow was the only other Canadian entry on the list. The 770-foot office tower landed at number four on the Emporis list.<\/p>\n
