The top floors will be occupied by duplex apartments with double-height spaces, while the building design will incorporate brick, painted steel beams and metal siding. <!--more-->Also, every condo will have a balcony and\/or a roof terrace.<\/p>\n<p>Permits were filed on <a href=\"http:\/\/a810-bisweb.nyc.gov\/bisweb\/JobsQueryByNumberServlet?requestid=1&amp;passjobnumber=320516633&amp;passdocnumber=01&amp;restore=1\" class=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">March 26th<\/a> for a new building with 1,500 square feet of commercial and 9,003 square feet of residential space.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aptsandlofts.com\/sales\/738-grand-street-unit-1-brooklyn-ny-11211\" class=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">Aptsandlofts.com<\/a>\u00a0marketed the site in 2012 as &#8220;a 2,300-square-foot stunning loft atmosphere featuring 12-foot ceilings, polished concrete floors, exposed brick, natural light and access to the roof.&#8221; Guess the new-development apple doesn&#8217;t fall far from the, uh, brick-and-metal tree.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some renderings from S3
