<\/a>Imagine living in a high-rise condo and being able to connect with neighbors on every floor, contact hard-to-track property managers and pay your landlord, all through one app.<\/p>\nBazinga!<\/a> \u2013 an exclamation commonly used by The Big Bang Theory\u2019s Sheldon Cooper<\/a> \u2013 is also the name of the app that is changing condo life with the push of a button.<\/p>\n Whether it\u2019s a low-rise or high-rise condominium or apartment, bazinga! creates small communities within large structures.\u00a0Founder and CEO Joseph Nakhla said the app allows residents to meet people. \u201cWe set out to build a company that really allows buildings, and communities within buildings, to thrive,\u201d said Nakhla. \u201cOne of the biggest challenges when living in a community, whether it\u2019s a rental building or a condo building, is it\u2019s a concrete jungle and there are few opportunities for people to connect there.\u201d<\/p>\n Among other features, users can pay their rent, report maintenance issues, find neighbors to carpool with and reserve building amenities.<\/p>\n Nakhla said the idea behind bazinga! started when a friend of his was frustrated with his condo living situation. Nakhla had issues with his own landlord and knew there had to be a way to improve condo life. It was then that the seed for bazinga! was planted.<\/p>\n According to Nakhla, one of the challenges when creating the app was designing it to be user-friendly for people of all ages.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been in the design process for a couple of years now,\u201d said Nakhla. \u201cWe pushed the envelope technology-wise, but we also recognized our customers will vary. You do have some people that are older aged moving in and some people that are younger.\u201d<\/p>\n The company currently works with a number of developers in Ontario and British Columbia including Onni Group<\/a>, Matas Homes<\/a>, Aquilini Development and Construction<\/a>, Bosa Properties<\/a>, BlueSky Properties<\/a> and Edenshaw Homes<\/a>.<\/p>\n At an exclusive event for Edenshaw\u2019s<\/a> Chaz Yorkville <\/a>development held<\/a> in mid-May, President and CEO of Edenshaw,<\/a> David McComb, talked about bazinga! and how he is looking forward to\u00a0residents using the app.<\/p>\n \u201cIn addition to being a fun word to say, bazinga! will change how residents live in a condominium community,\u201d said McComb.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re the very first condominium in Toronto confirmed to take on bazinga! and it\u2019s going to be a tremendous value adding feature for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n
