Among Cowtown\u2019s most exciting and anticipated projects is Qualex-Landmark<\/a>‘s 34-storey Mark on 10th<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Conceived by award-winning designers Rafii Architect<\/a> in partnership with BKDI Architects Inc.<\/a>, Mark on 10th<\/a> will be built on the corner of 8th Street and 10th Avenue S.W., the site of the old Western Canadian Graphics building in Calgary\u2019s bustling Betline neighbourhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe love the mix of old and new, big and tall buildings,\u201d said Parham Mahboubi, Qualex-Landmark<\/a>‘s\u00a0vice-president of marketing and new developments, of the surrounding area to the Calgary Herald<\/a>. \u201cIt is an established neighbourhood. You don\u2019t have to wait a decade for the community to mature.\u201d<\/p>\n

You certainly don\u2019t. The neighbourhood is already packed with all the amenities and conveniences\u00a0you could want. In fact, Mark on 10th<\/a>\u00a0has received a Walk Score<\/a> rating of 97 per cent, which means the location is as a \u201cwalker\u2019s paradise\u201d where most daily errands do not require a car.<\/p>\n

But as impressive as the neighbourhood is, so too are the amenities that the tower itself boasts. Each home in the secure building will feature over-height doors and ceilings, expansive energy-efficient window-walls, wood-laminate flooring, broadloom carpet, porcelain tiles, upscale German-made Nobilia cabinetry (a first in North America), stainless steel German-made Liebherr and AEG appliances, quartz countertops and luxury bathrooms.<\/p>\n

Mark on 10th<\/a>\u00a0is currently in the preconstruction phase, but demolition of the old Western Canadian Graphics building is nearly complete \u2013\u00a0as you\u2019ll see in the photos below. Savvy real estate hunters will want to register<\/a> as soon as possible, because with homes starting in the low $200,000s, you know the 270 units won\u2019t last long once they hit the market.<\/p>\n
