<\/a>Rendering: Summa Architecture<\/a><\/em><\/p>\nA gated community of three-story townhomes and resort-style amenities is planned for the 5.5-acre site of the now-shuttered Moneta Nursery in Gardena.<\/span><\/p>\n Developer <\/span>Melia Homes<\/span><\/a> has put forth plans to redevelop<\/a> the property with 16 buildings that would house 84 two-, three- and four-bedroom residences. Dubbed \u2018Evergreen Row<\/a>,\u2019 the project consists of contemporary-style, row townhomes with private entrances, one- or two-car garages, private outdoor spaces, and flexible dens or guest bedrooms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Two of the townhomes would be reserved as affordable housing, offering a more compact layout with just one bedroom and one bathroom. There would be a mix of surface parking and private garage parking for a combined total of over 200 vehicle spaces.<\/p>\n Located at 13615-13633 South Vermont Avenue, the homes at Evergreen Row would be situated around a family-friendly amenity space. The pool deck would feature chaise lounges, dining tables, shaded seating areas, a grilling station, and indoor bathrooms and changing rooms. Meantime, an adjacent tot lot and grassy lawn would provide bench seating, picnic tables and play structures.<\/p>\n Designed by San Diego-based Summa Architecture<\/a>, the townhomes come in three different color schemes and are grouped into four-, five- or six-plexes. Floorplans range from 833 to 1,801 square feet in size and are highlighted by features like island kitchens, open-concept living and dining spaces, spacious laundry rooms, and master bedrooms with walk-in closets and spa-like ensuite bathrooms with double sink vanities and private water closets.<\/p>\n Each home comes with either a flexible den that could be used as a home office or a first-floor guest bedroom with a nearby powder room.<\/p>\n Evergreen Row is located near the corner of West 135th Street and Vermont Avenue, close to the Harbor Freeway, pocket parks, local schools and shopping centers.
