<\/a>Rendering: Mighty Buildings<\/a><\/em><\/p>\nJust over a month after <\/span>raising $40 million<\/span><\/a> in Series B financing, Oakland-based construction technology company <\/span>Mighty Buildings<\/span><\/a> has landed a multi-unit residential development deal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Developer Palari Group<\/a> will use 3D-printed panels by Mighty Buildings to construct 15 three-bedroom, two-bathroom homes in Rancho Mirage, a resort town outside of Palm Springs. The community, known as Palari Villas, will be the first of its kind in the United States.<\/p>\n Starting at $595,000, each 1,440-square-foot residence will occupy a 10,000-square-foot lot with a private backyard and swimming pool. The Mighty Cinco floorplan boasts an entryway with built-in storage, an open-concept kitchen, living and dining room with a center island, and a tucked-away laundry closet.<\/p>\n The principal suite includes a walk-in closet with a sliding barn door, plus an ensuite bathroom with a spa-like shower. Depending on the buyers\u2019 needs, one of the secondary bedrooms could be used as a flex space for a home office, fitness studio or children\u2019s playroom.<\/p>\n Prior to the start of construction in late 2021, buyers will be able to personalize their floorplans, finishes and options. Tesla-manufactured upgrades such as solar panels, EV home charging stations and battery packs will be available. Select homes will also come with a 700-square-foot accessory dwelling unit (ADU) featuring two bedrooms and a bathroom, bumping up the cost to $850,000.<\/p>\n According to Palari Group\u2019s website, the homes will offer \u201cnear zero waste\u201d and \u201cnet zero energy.\u201d Buyers are able to reserve a 3D-printed home in the community by forking over a $1,000 fully-refundable deposit by credit card or Bitcoin via the <\/span>developer\u2019s website<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Mighty Buildings will ship the 3D-printed components, consisting of interior and exterior walls, from its Oakland production facility.
