<\/a><\/p>\nRendering:\u00a0KTGY Architecture + Planning<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n A vacant, eight-acre lot in Santa Ana could be transformed into a mixed-use community with 644 multi-family residential units and 15,130 square feet of commercial space.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The ambitious project by Waterford Property Company<\/a>, known as Central Pointe, would come to include an array of indoor and outdoor amenities, plus a dynamic retail plaza at the corner of Fourth Street and Cabrillo Park Drive.<\/p>\n Rendering:\u00a0KTGY Architecture + Planning<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n Documents<\/span><\/a> presented during a Planning Commission meeting on October 26th shed more light on the proposed development at 1801 East Fourth Street. Plans call for two five-story buildings, each \u201cwrapped around a seven-level parking structure,\u201d providing a total of 1,318 vehicle spaces. Publicly accessible open space would be incorporated into the project, including a linear greenspace with access to a trail that connects to nearby Mabury Park.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Building A would feature 19 studios, 162 one-bedroom units, 121 two-bedroom units and 23 three-bedroom units, along with 6,100 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and 3,500 square feet of restaurant space.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Building B would tout 20 studios, 164 one-bedroom units, 127 two-bedroom units and 8 three-bedroom units. Building A would offer five outdoor amenity areas serving a variety of purposes, from lawn games to alfresco dining and fireside relaxation. Building B would have four open-air courtyards, including an entertainment garden, foodie lounge and backyard.<\/p>\n A resident park and paved pedestrian walkways would divide the two structures, and a dog park\u00a0with synthetic grass and bench seating would occupy the northwest corner of the lot.
