<\/a><\/p>\nImage: AERO Collective<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n Los Angeles isn\u2019t exactly known for its walkability, but a proposed apartment complex along a bustling stretch of Melrose Avenue would place future residents near numerous grocery stores, diverse eateries, cocktail lounges, vintage clothing stores and city parks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On Tuesday, Beverly Hills-based developer Markwood Enterprises<\/a> submitted an application<\/a> to Los Angeles City Planning to construct a four-story residential apartment building consisting of 66 units. The 15,962-square-foot lot is located at 7100 W. Melrose Avenue near the intersection with La Brea Avenue. The project’s address\u00a0would be stylized as Sevn1Hundred.<\/p>\n Image:\u00a0AERO Collective<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n \u201cOur goal is to enhance the vitality and walkability of this bustling urban corridor by providing a furnished, well-appointed living experience that incorporates a live-work feel for today\u2019s modern working professional,\u201d said Simon Aftalion, Markwood\u2019s Development Director.<\/p>\n The floorplan breakdown would include 28 studios and 38 one-bedroom units with six units reserved for extremely low income households. Six penthouses would boast spacious, private roof decks \u201cwith exceptional views of the Hollywood Hills and beyond,\u201d noted\u00a0Aftalion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Select<\/span>\u00a0units on the upper floors would feature protruding balconies with perforated metal railings, while all ground-floor units facing\u00a0Melrose and La Brea would incorporate \u201clarge storefront glazing\u201d\u00a0to ensure privacy.<\/p>\n Ground-floor amenities would include a lobby, leasing office, mailroom, bike room, gym, and a landscaped courtyard with a yoga deck, all linked by a central walkway. The fourth-floor would boast an indoor community room with stairs leading up to an expansive roof deck.<\/p>\n This outdoor oasis would be equipped with a fire pit, lounge seating, barbecues, dining tables, bartop seating, a tanning deck with chaise lounges, hangout steps, a yoga and exercise area, and raised planters for added greenery.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
