<\/a><\/p>\nPhotos: James Bombales<\/em><\/p>\n Fifty Scollard Condos<\/a> is a luxury residence coming soon to the corner of Bay and Scollard Street in Toronto\u2019s Yorkville neighbourhood.<\/p>\n The 41-storey tower by Lanterra<\/a> was designed by internationally-renowned architecture firm Foster + Partners<\/a> and features a three-tiered glass and steel facade characterized by strong vertical lines.<\/p>\n The project officially broke ground in November 2019, and while the site has been fairly quiet throughout the year, it has seen a noteworthy uptick in activity in recent months.<\/p>\n A major milestone was celebrated in late March when the onsite presentation centre was demolished to make way for construction. The building that was used as the presentation centre had been on the site since the late 2000s when it was used as the sales office for the Four Seasons Residences<\/a> across the street. A new presentation centre has since been opened at 1333 Bay Street as suites are still available, starting from $2.6 million.<\/p>\n Summer 2020 saw another milestone achieved as crews began preparing the row of heritage homes on the property for disassembly. These four homes were built in 1890 and are designated heritage buildings. They will be moved east of their current position and incorporated into the development as new retail, office and commercial spaces. Renderings also show the west building\u2019s distinctive white facade facing a new public square with trees, gardens and seating areas.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
