<\/a><\/p>\nPhotos: James Bombales<\/em><\/p>\n Located in Toronto\u2019s sought-after St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood, 75 on The Esplanade<\/a> is a new high-rise condominium now under construction at the site of a former parking lot adjacent to the Novotel Hotel. The development by Carttera Private Equities<\/a> and Harhay Developments<\/a> was launched in 2017, followed by the start of construction in August 2018 when drilling rigs were on site to prepare for shoring. <\/p>\n The three-storey underground garage was fully excavated by the end of 2018, and in January 2019, a construction crane was installed. Since the building reached grade-level in early 2020, construction has continued to progress quickly, despite COVID-19 restrictions, and the tower is now over 20 storeys high. Recent photos also show the first signs of exterior cladding with a few windows installed on the podium\u2019s northeast corner.<\/p>\n When complete, 75 on The Esplanade will feature a 29-storey architectsAlliance<\/a>-designed tower dotted with articulated glass balconies. The building is anchored to the southwest corner of Church Street and The Esplanade by a seven-storey podium clad in a contrasting red brick veneer, and will house both residential and commercial units. <\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
