<\/a><\/p>\nRendering:\u00a0DBOX<\/a> for Alagem Capital Group<\/em><\/p>\n Biophilic design is at the forefront of the latest development plans for One Beverly Hills<\/a>, a $2 billion condo-hotel hybrid from partners <\/span>Alagem Capital<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Cain International<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>The Los Angeles Times<\/span><\/a> reported yesterday that British architect Norman Foster of <\/span>Foster + Partners<\/span><\/a> is behind the project, which would introduce a pair of 28- and 32-story condominium towers, a 10-story hotel, and eight acres of public and private gardens.<\/span><\/p>\n Rendering:\u00a0DBOX<\/a>\u00a0for Alagem Capital Group<\/em><\/p>\n The 17.5-acre site, a vacant plot of land adjacent to the Beverly Hilton hotel, has changed hands several times over the past 13 years. It was formerly occupied by a luxury department store that was razed in 2007.<\/p>\n Developers Alagem Capital and Cain International purchased the property from Dalian Wanda Group in 2018 for $420 million when it was referred to as <\/span>9900 Wilshire<\/span><\/a>. The grounds were conceived of by RIOS<\/a>, a multi-disciplinary design firm,\u00a0and would boast drought-tolerant native plants, meandering pathways and tranquil water features.
