{"id":203859,"date":"2020-05-25T17:14:27","date_gmt":"2020-05-25T21:14:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/articles\/?p=203859"},"modified":"2024-02-19T02:29:09","modified_gmt":"2024-02-19T07:29:09","slug":"fleur-condos-construction-torontos-garden-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/articles\/archives\/fleur-condos-construction-torontos-garden-district","title":{"rendered":"Fleur Condos construction reaches top section in Toronto\u2019s Garden District"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 id='pressboard-ad-sponsorship-tag' style='margin-bottom: 35px;'><\/h4><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Fleur_Construction1.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[203859]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Fleur_Construction1.jpg\" alt=\"Fleur_Construction1\" width=\"1280\" height=\"958\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-203860\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Photos: James Bombales<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Two years after officially breaking ground, construction at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/toronto-on\/fleur-condos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fleur Condos<\/a> is racing towards completion as crews begin pouring the top six floors of the 29-storey residence. <\/p>\n<p>The condominium by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/builder\/menkes-developments-ltd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Menkes Developments<\/a> was designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/architect\/architectsalliance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">architectsAlliance<\/a> and features three distinct forms: a three-storey podium, the main residential tower and an upper section with six levels that are slightly angled off and cantilevered from the rest of the structure.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Fleur_Construction2.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[203859]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Fleur_Construction2.jpg\" alt=\"Fleur_Construction2\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-203861\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the final leg now underway, the tower crane has been dismantled and workers are now using a mini crane to finish the top three levels. Meanwhile, the exterior\u2019s black cladding and window wall system are now installed up to the 21st floor. This consists of dark aluminum panels that frame rectangular-shaped windows and contrasts with the podium\u2019s limestone cladding. When complete, the podium will feature a series of retail spaces fronting Church and Shuter Streets, along with a triangular rooftop amenity area for residents.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Fleur_Living_Dining.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[203859]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.livabl.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Fleur_Living_Dining.jpg\" alt=\"Fleur_Living_Dining\" width=\"1280\" height=\"837\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-203864\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Inside, Fleur houses a total of 320 one- to three-bedroom suites ranging from 525 to 1,124 square feet.
