<\/a><\/p>\nRiver & Fifth Condos by Broccolini in Toronto \/ Rendering: BuzzBuzzHome<\/em><\/p>\n Montreal-based developer Broccolini<\/a> says that it\u2019s seeking to hire new talent in anticipation of a \u201crapid resumption of its activities,\u201d according to a press release<\/a> distributed this week. Several positions are currently open, ranging from management to development to superintendent roles.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are proud to have been able to keep our entire team employed throughout the pandemic, with the exception of the day labourers directly affected by the closure of the construction sites, said Anthony Broccolini, Chief Operating Officer at Broccolini in the release.<\/p>\n \u201cOur exceptional positioning in the real estate market is now affording us the opportunity to further expand our team following these difficult times.\u201d<\/p>\n\n Data released by Statistics Canada in an early-April Labour Force Survey<\/a> shows that the number of employed people fell by one million in March, with the sharpest declines taking place in Ontario and Quebec. In Ontario, some residential construction projects have been permitted to continue<\/a> as an essential service, including those projects who have been granted footing or above-grade structural permits. As of April 20th, construction on residential units which will have occupancy by July 31 can resume<\/a>, according to the Commission de la construction du Qu\u00e9bec. Broccolini has new construction projects in both provinces, where the company says it is currently hiring in across multiple departments.<\/p>\n Once construction activity picks up again, the company says that it has expectations for growth considering its backlog of contracted projects.<\/p>\n \u201cGiven the diversity of services that Broccolini offers, ranging from planning to construction to property management, a number of positions are open and need to be filled in order to help meet the company\u2019s immediate needs,\u201d says the release.<\/p>\n According to data from BuzzBuzzHome, Broccolini is actively selling three projects in Quebec and two condo projects in Ontario, which includes The Slater<\/a> and River & Fifth Condos<\/a>. The Canadian company has also proposed a 38-storey condo tower along River Street in Toronto, and a 27-storey rental building close to Ottawa\u2019s Parliament Hill.
