Here we\u2019ve rounded up 10 condo and townhome projects that are planned near some of the city\u2019s most notable green spaces.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a01818 Alberni<\/a><\/h2>\n

Rising 21-storeys, 1818 Alberni is just steps away from Vancouver\u2019s largest urban park. Spanning 400-hectares, Stanley Park encompasses kilometres-worth of trails, beaches, gardens, forest and views of the water. Bike along the seawall trail overlooking English Bay, or pay a visit to the Vancouver Aquarium. If you\u2019re into outdoor sports, Stanley Park is also home to tennis courts, a pitch and putt, plus a dog park for Fido to get some exercise, too.<\/p>\n

For a horticulture-lover, Queen Elizabeth Park is a must-see. Besides the landscaped quarry garden and collection of exotic trees in the arboretum, the crown jewel of this 52-hectare park is the Bloedel Conservatory, home to 120 free-flying exotic birds, and over 500 plants and flowers. Across the street, Chelsea is under construction \u2014 a six-storey midrise townhome and condo community that showcases modern units complete with herringbone pattern hardwood floors, heated floors and quartz counters.<\/p>\n

3. Terraces at Oak Park<\/a><\/h2>\n

A community of just 31 units, the Terraces at Oak Park features one-, two- and three-bedroom condo and townhome residences. Just across the street is Oak Park, a sprawling green space with a community centre and enough grass for a game of soccer.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0MODE<\/a><\/h2>\n

According to the City of Vancouver<\/a>, Everett Crowley Park was once a coniferous forest that housed a waterfall and creek running through a natural ravine, before colonial settlers redeveloped the area, making it an important hunting and fishing site for Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples.<\/p>\n

Today, as Vancouver\u2019s fifth-largest park, the site features a series of paths and trails that make up 2.37 kilometers of its circular walking route. On the south side of the park, close to the Fraser River, MODE by Wesgroup is under construction, touting a plethora of amenities including a fitness centre, terrace and indoor\/outdoor kitchen.<\/p>\n

5. Chambers<\/a><\/h2>\n
