<\/a><\/p>\nLong-standing GTA developer Alterra<\/a> is bringing two new condo projects to downtown Toronto with the separate launches of 321 Davenport<\/a> and 159 Wellesley<\/a>.<\/p>\n Both pre-construction projects are centrally located, but each will put residents in a different neighbourhood with a character all its own, this despite the fact the developments are just a 10-minute drive apart.<\/p>\n One-Fifty-Nine Wellesley will rise above the corner of Sherbourne and Wellesley Street East, just minutes from Yonge and Bloor \u2014 a bustling transit hub, contributing to the address\u2019 impressive walkscore of 95.<\/p>\n An early rendering of the project from local firm Quadrangle Architects shows a gleaming, clean-lined 30-plus-storey tower anchored by a four-storey podium.<\/p>\n The streetscape surrounding the corner lot is lined with trees, and podium signage suggests the possibility of retail at grade.<\/p>\n On the other hand, 321 Davenport is nestled between the lux boutique shops of Yorkville and the historic homes of the Annex to the south and a burgeoning stretch of Dupont Street to the north.<\/p>\n In recent years, the nearby portion of Dupont \u2014 once flanked by industrial development \u2014 has come to attract a growing number of galleries and artists\u2019 spaces, such as Artscape Wychwood Barns and restaurants.<\/p>\n
