<\/a><\/p>\nPhotos: 8486whitestreet.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n 84-86 White Street has finally released an official website, five years after permits were first filed and two years after construction wrapped up.<\/p>\n Located between Lafayette Street and Cortlandt Alley, the 13-story building will have 33 rental apartments<\/a>, priced from $4,000 per month for a studio up to $11,000 for a two-bedroom duplex with 17-foot living room ceiling. Select units have balconies with French doors.<\/p>\n The site was formerly a parking lot, on one of the blocks that went through the controversial Chinatown rezoning in 2008, A Fine Blog<\/a> reported. In July 2010, the property traded for $8.307 million to 84-86 White Street LLC, according to Department of Finance records. Permits<\/a> for the project were approved in 2010 and renewed in 2012, with Manuel Glas as the architect of record. Tribeca Citizen<\/a> has been following the progress of the building, which seemingly topped out in 2012, finished construction in 2013<\/a> and has been a source of mystery since.<\/p>\n Interiors have open layouts, radiant floor heating throughout, zoned air-conditioning with independent thermostats, double- and triple-pane windows to minimize sound, in-unit washer\/dryer and pre-wiring for Verizon Internet and FIOS. The Poggen Pohl kitchens have integrated Liebherr refrigerators, built-in Bosch ovens, stone countertops and Miele cooktops.<\/p>\n Amenities include a doorman, virtual concierge, full-time superintendent, roof deck with barbecue grill and seating, mezzanine-level lounge, refrigerated storage and heated sidewalk “Snowmelt System ensuring hassle-free winter access.” The building also comes with an indoor garage.
