This house in M\u00f6hringen, Germany began its life as, well, a house. It was later abandoned and reclaimed\u00a0by graffiti\u00a0artists who used it as a blank canvas. Then, once condemned, artists Erik Sturm and Simon Jung painted it matte black and called it “Haus in Schwarz” — which translates into English as House in Black — as a sort of cheeky farewell to the building before it was finally demolished in 2008.<\/p>\n

What stands in its place now is an art gallery operated by the original building owner, Karin Abt-Straubinger.<\/p>\n
