The term \u2018swaging\u2019 means to shape or curve metal using hammering or pressure. George Nelson, the desk\u2019s namesake and former Director of Design at Herman Miller, was the first to propose the idea of a sculptured furniture leg.<\/p>\n
Nearly 50 years later, the Nelson Swag Leg Desk is still beloved by many. It has, however, been given some 21st century updates — the desk easily fits a laptop computer and has a built-in grommet to keep wires managed.
