Toronto’s residential construction boom of the past several years continues to alter the city’s skyline.

But looking back further, to the 1960s in particular, the change is even more drastic. Then, landmarks like the CN Tower and Rogers Centre, formerly Skydome, didn’t even exist, let alone other more-recent developments like CityPlace, a high-density mixed-use redevelopment of one-time Railway Lands.

As another instalment of BuzzBuzzHome News’ then-and-now series, which also includes CityPlace, Regent Park and Mimico, we’ve lined up historic photos from the City of Toronto archives with James Bombales’ present-day shots.
