There’s something special about the high-rise condo industry. There’s swagger, there’s prestige, there’s glitz and there’s glamour. There’s nothing else like it in the real estate industry.

“Some of the leading trends within luxury high-rise condo development are the use of award-winning world-class architects, top global interior designers, hospitality brands, and the integration of Michelin-starred chefs with top-tier food and beverage programs,” says Camilo Miguel Jr., CEO and founder of Miami’s Mast Capital.

“This level of services and hospitality is what true luxury is today—effortless living and convenience to the very best.”

So, not your typical housing developments, in other words. That’s why Zonda is launching Elevate, the first-of-its-kind conference celebrating the art of high-rise living. It will be held at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Dec. 4 to 6, with speakers from across the industry offering their insights in an intimate setting.

“Elevate is an exclusive new event to inform and educate those working in the high-rise condo industry,” says Zonda CEO Jeff Meyers. “There’s never been a better forum to hear from developers who are actually constructing the tallest residential buildings in the country, and to catch up with colleagues to talk about the state of the industry.”

The conference is sponsored by Livabl, Zonda’s new-construction listing portal, as well as ARCHITECT and Multifamily Executive magazines. With featured listings from across North America, Livabl has everything needed to help buyers build their new-home dream.

“We expect Elevate is going to be the country’s top event for those in the high-rise community,” says Justin LaJoie, Livabl’s general manager. “Elevate gives those in the industry a place to gather and learn from each other, to mingle, and to hear top executives give their take on the state of the market.”

Challenges and Opportunities Abound

Miguel, who will speak at Elevate, says the conference provides a much-needed opportunity for high-rise developers to talk about both the challenges and opportunities facing the high-profile industry.

“Elevate provides an opportunity to discuss relevant and trending topics alongside other developers, architects, designers, and brokers, creating an environment that breeds open conversation on innovation, new benchmarks, and positive change for the industry,” he says. “Bringing together the various teams involved in creating these ultra-luxury residences is one of the best ways to marry a myriad perspectives and to discuss alternative ways to appeal to today’s luxury consumer, which always interests me.”

That sounds good to Brad Meltzer, partner and president of Two Roads Development. He’s looking forward to the networking opportunities Elevate will provide.

“Elevate brings together a well-curated group of real estate professionals that are typically like-minded. It’s great to share ideas and concerns that the industry has at the same time,” he says. “I’m always one for learning from others—you never know who you meet in life, and sometimes you end up developing relationships that allow you to partner on certain projects.”

Attendance is reserved exclusively for developers, brokers, architects, and designers in the high-rise community. Registration information and a list of confirmed speakers can be found at elevate.livabl.com.
