The Keeley Condos is coming soon to the desirable Downsview Park area in north Toronto. To celebrate the launch of its latest development, TAS hosted a special “picnic in the park” themed friends and family event last week. Inside the presentation centre, guests were greeted with a live parkyard vignette, complete with an acoustic guitar player and performers posing as the colourful and playful characters from The Keeley’s parkyard mural.

Continuing on the parkyard living theme, visitors were treated to a savoury barbecue dinner with hamburger and grilled cheese sliders, grilled chorizo skewers and potato salad. Local artisanal market and butcher shop Speducci provided cheese and charcuterie for an elevated picnic experience. Of course, no parkyard celebration is complete without fruit-filled sangria and gourmet ice pops, served directly from an ice pop stand.

Nestled between Downsview Park and an extensive forested ravine system, the 12-storey mid-rise offers a prime location with interconnected greenspaces, public transit and plenty of amenities.

“It’s not hard to imagine five years out, Downsview Park emerging as one of the top destinations in the entire city,” says Mazyar Mortazavi, TAS President and CEO. “The area has incredible social and physical infrastructure, including the new Downsview TTC and GO stations, York University and Centennial College campuses and Humber River Hospital.”

Just steps away is over 15 kilometers of ravine trails and a major civic park, while within the development, residents will have convenient access to corner retail at street level and a landscaped private courtyard. An extra-large main staircase and spacious elevator lobbies on each floor further enhance the sense of community inside the building.

Designed by renowned interior design firm TACT Design, The Keeley’s sleek and sophisticated lobby features glazing on all sides, providing strong sightlines to Downsview Park. Amenity spaces are also enclosed by glass and act as an extension of the lobby experience.

“We took inspiration from hotel lobbies in Japan, where lots of activity spills into smaller, more intimate spaces that can also be connected to accommodate larger social gatherings,” says Michael Krus, Principal at TACT Design.

Designed to accommodate the diverse lifestyles of its residents, The Keeley boasts over 6,500 square feet of amenity areas divided into 12 distinct spaces, designed with a warm modern aesthetic. These include everything from tutoring rooms to co-working spaces and family rooms.

“We wanted The Keeley’s amenity spaces to feel more like an extension of rooms found in people’s homes,” says Mortazavi. “In addition to creating new homes, we need to shift the lens to what is being programmed inside these new spaces and around it. With The Keeley we wanted to create a feeling of a modern village for people of all ages.”

Suites at The Keeley are priced from the $300,000s and include one-bedroom to three-bedroom layouts ranging in size from 500 square feet to 1,500 square feet. To learn more, register online at
