Carmel Partners’ new teaser site for their 11-acre Cumulus District project will have you lacing up your dancing shoes. The mixed-use development is situated between the Culver City Arts District and West Adams, adjacent to the La Cienega/Jefferson Metro Station.

Once complete, the community will boast 1,200 modern apartments, 100,000 square feet of commercial space, including a 50,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market, and a sustainably-designed one-acre park.

The website’s home page features snippets of dancers alongside fresh renderings of Cumulus District. Described as “livable, walkable, transit-friendly,” the new community promises luxury rental living with top-notch amenities, an array of upscale dining, shopping and fitness options, a sprawling park that plays host to food trucks and community events, and a central location that’s close to Culver City tech companies and the Expo Line light rail.

Cumulus District will tout two apartment residences — ARQ, a 31-story high-rise tower, and VOX, a collection of seven-story mid-rise buildings. ARQ will begin pre-leasing its 300 units in June and the first move-ins are scheduled for Winter 2020. Priced from $2,622 to $13,350 per month, the available apartments range from compact studios to sprawling penthouses.

The amenities at ARQ include indoor/outdoor social gathering spaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center with a yoga/spin room and outdoor fitness deck, screening room, pet spa, resort-style pool and cabana deck, rooftop splash pool and terrace, plus an expansive clubhouse complete with a sports lounge, gourmet kitchen and private dining space.

VOX won’t begin pre-leasing until winter, so fewer details are known about the large-scale complex that will house 910 apartments. Renderings depict a number of boxy, blue and gold structures centered around a pedestrian walkway. One of the buildings features a double-height, glass-encased podium with a cafe that offers outdoor seating.

Located at 3321 S. La Cienega Boulevard, future residents of Cumulus District will be within walking distance of the Helms Bakery District, PLATFORM and Downtown Culver City. There are plenty of parks and biking trails nearby, in addition to trendy restaurants, coffee shops and cocktail bars.
