From April 1st through April 13th, 2014, French artist Abraham Poincheval spent every day and night inside a taxidermy bear for his performance piece “Dans La Peau de l’Ours” (“Inside the Skin of the Bear”) at the Hunting and Wildlife Museum in Paris.

According to DesignBoom:

Just like the mammal during the winter months, Poincheval remains within a small enclosure, keeping with him all the basic things he might need to survive throughout the weeks spent inside; food, water, activities and even a place to relieve himself are all contained inside the makeshift unit.

Yep, he was in there with only the bear necessities (our apologies).

Two cameras captured the spectacle and streamed it live to the world 24 hours a day.
