on the go mimico

Stanton Renaissance can now add another “first” to their list. Not only is their Etobicoke Lakeshore project On the GO Mimico the first Toronto condo with direct access to GO Transit, the builder’s partnership with Mike Holmes will make the project the first condo development endorsed by the Holmes Approved Homes program.

Holmes is known from coast-to-coast as a building industry leader thanks to his no-nonsense approach to maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship. What’s more, Holmes is also a supporter of sustainable building and his partnership with Stanton Renaissance will provide added assurance that condos such as On the GO Mimico will exceed industry standards for green building and design.

“When Mike heard about our passionate commitment to combining the highest standards of luxury building with the most innovative green and clean technologies, he contacted us, eager to jump on board,” said Stanton Renaissance President and Owner, Louie Santaguida.

“Together, our goal is to provide new condo owners with the confidence and trust that they have bought a quality-built, luxuriously appointed, convenient and healthy home. Mike and I are so committed to the On The GO Mimico project, and what it stands for, that we are personally buying suites in the building.”

The new building will rise 27 storeys from Royal York and Newcastle Street in Etobicoke. It will also be the first high-rise condo in Toronto that will come equipped with an integrated GeoExchange Cogeneration system for eco-friendly “hybrid” heating, cooling and hydro generation.

Another first? The condo will also be the first time this Green Globe award-winning system has been used in a high-rise residence.

“I’m excited to work with Louie and the rest of the team. I see a lot of developments and developers, but nothing like what Stanton Renaissance is doing. They were doing green 30 years ago. They’re beyond green,” said Holmes.

“If someone would have told me I would be building condos, I would have said, ‘No way.’ But when I heard what Stanton was doing, this made sense to me,” he added.

Aside from the quality and green considerations, On the GO Mimico will also come with plenty of life style features including an accessible green roof with BBQs, an eco-carwash, a pet grooming station, a  gym with yoga and Pilates studios as well as a party room.

Other on-site amenities will include a gourmet fine food store as well as an espresso bar, meeting rooms and guest suites to accommodate overnight visitors.

Suites range in size from 534 to 1,205 square feet and start from the mid $200,000s.
