Livabl spoke with Idan Alon, the sales director for MTL Développement about La Tour Fides location, its potential for investment buyers, the building’s amenities and the incentives being offered for potential homebuyers.
Where is your La Tour Fides located? Why did you choose this location to develop?
The site of La Tour Fides is located at 235 René-Levesque E Street, just three blocks east of St. Laurent Blvd, and minutes away from Montreal’s Chinatown, old port, and Place des Arts.
There are two main reasons why we chose this site. First, it is located at the crossroads of three key districts within the Ville-Marie borough in downtown Montreal, where The Quartier des Spectacles, Quartier des Lumières and The Old Port of Montreal converge. The Quartier des Spectacles is the cultural heart of the city, known for its theatres, museums, and art galleries. Throughout the year, the neighborhood becomes a breeding ground for festivals and concerts that animate the city. The project is also minutes away from gastronomic restaurants, trendy bars, boutiques and endless attractions. There is something for everyone.
The other reason why MTL Développement has chosen this site is because we are always looking for ways to revive Montreal all while honouring its rich historic culture. La Tour Fides is a mega transformation project of a 1964 historic building constructed to house ‘’Editions Fides’’, a Francophone publishing house. It is a heritage site with deep patrimonial roots to the city of Montreal. MTL Développement is pleased to realize the new La Tour Fides project all while keeping certain historic elements of the original building, such as the building façade and the iconic ‘Fides’ sign.
What makes this community a great place for investors?
Given the strategic location and proximity to many downtown attractions, La Tour Fides has lured many investors since our launch in 2020 and is continuing to do so today.
