Construction on Leaside Common has officially begun.

Developed by Gairloch Developments in partnership with Harlo Capital, the mid-rise residential project will be located at the intersection of Bayview and Eglington in Toronto.

“We launched Leaside Common less than a year ago with a vision for thoughtful design and an embrace for the exciting changes coming to the neighbourhood,” said Bill Gairdner, founder and president of Gairloch Developments.

Leaside Common will rise 9 storeys and present a unique urban form of two buildings attached at the hip. Designed by BDP Quadrangle, the sculpted façade is accented with contemporary vertical windows and terraces with integrated planters.

Suite layouts offer wide and shallow floorplans across a diverse range of unit styles. From studios to penthouse suites and townhomes, Leaside Commons offers versatile spaces for a wide range of lifestyles. Amenities can be found on the ground floor – including a multi-purpose party room, communal work lounge and refined fitness space.

Sixteen Degrees Studio directed interior amenities. Inspired by nature and a connection to the outdoors, Leaside Commons is defined by neutral colour schemes, contemporary finishes and exterior green laneways.

“The laneway sets a new precedent for the city,” said Heather Rolleston, principal and design director at BDP Quadrangle. “It creates a rather contemporary interpretation of a backyard. We were inspired by the laneways in Montreal to create this blueprint for indoor-outdoor living in urban environments.”

The groundbreaking of Leaside Commons is another addition to Gairloch’s ever-expanding portfolio in Toronto. The design-focused developer also launched two other projects earlier this year – Grain at Junction Triangle and Craft Residence.

Tentative occupancy for Leaside Common is slated for 2025. For more information or to register, visit leasidecommon.ca
