Few homeowners can say they own an award-winning residence, but 1471 Forest Knoll Drive provides one lucky buyer with the opportunity to inherit those bragging rights.

Known simply as Forest Knoll, this 2021 AIALA Residential Architecture award winner was designed by Standard Architecture as a modern take on the American barn. Combining wood, concrete and stone finishes, the three-volume home developed by Viewpoint Collection is open and airy, connected by discreetly concealed staircases.

The gabled roofs create soaring ceilings, as exemplified by the double-height great room featuring a full wall of glazing. This center volume also serves as the home’s primary entrance and boasts an oversized, solid oak front door framed by concrete.

The unobstructed space is divided into zones for dining and lounging, and comes complete with a double-sided concrete fireplace for chilly evenings. Overhead, a light-filled loft provides the perfect perch for painting or reading.

Pivoting glass doors at the rear of the home create a seamless indoor-outdoor feel and open onto an expansive, travertine-paved patio with a fire pit and sweeping city views. It’s flanked by two smaller patios that are surrounded by artificial turf. Here you’ll also find a 20-by-73-foot infinity pool with a Baja shelf and integrated spa.

The right and left wings of the home are each divided into two stories with the main bedrooms on the upper level and additional living spaces on the lower level. In total, there are six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

And because no multi-million dollar property is complete without two kitchens, there is one for “show” and another for “prep,” although both are appointed with stone countertops and integrated appliances. The left wing is currently staged as a recreational space with a wet bar and plush seating.

The lower level also includes a fitness center with an operable wall that reveals a secluded outdoor terrace and shower. A home theatre designed with tiered seating, a projector and professional sound system ensures an authentic movie-going experience.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom showcases vaulted ceilings, a window wall with motorized blinds, a recessed reading nook and dual dressing rooms. The Calacatta marble-clad ensuite bathroom includes a floating double vanity, a freestanding soaker tub with a picture window, and a walk-through shower with multiple showerheads.

Forest Knoll also comes with a Crestron smart home system, a climate controlled wine room for over 200 bottles, two two-car garages plus ample driveway parking, a gated entrance and a Wolf 42-inch outdoor gas grill.

This is the second time in just over a year that the Hollywood Hills property has been listed for sale. The sellers were previously seeking $32,000,000 but the price has since been brought down to $26,500,000. The listing is held by Tomer Fridman, Sally Forster Jones and Tyrone McKillen of Compass.
