Since launching in 2008, Mississauga’s Parkside Village has become a vibrant community with seven modern towers and multiple blocks of townhomes now occupied, thousands of new residents and a wide array of neighbourhood amenities. Developed by Amacon, the master-planned community is now accepting registrations for its next phase: the 930-suite, Turner Fleischer Architects-designed Voya.

Situated in Parkside Village’s Northwest corner, Voya is poised to become the area’s newest landmark with its sleek two-tower design that sports contrasting façades facing the park and the city. The architecture takes inspiration from its dual surroundings with a design that transitions from inset balconies and straight lines on the city side to gradual terracing on the park side. The building bookends the site and features unobstructed views from the West and the South sides onto Zonta Meadows Park and the future Parkside Village to the South.

“Voya takes its name from the word voyage, which often reflect transitions, gateways to memorable experiences and purpose,” said Stephanie Babineau, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Amacon. “Voya is more than your average condo. We wanted to build something that would inspire and enrich the lifestyle for all our residents.”

Located in Mississauga’s City Centre, residents will enjoy the best of both city conveniences and a natural park setting. They’ll have over three acres of outdoor space just steps away, along with pedestrian-friendly streets with wide sidewalks that connect parks to promenades.

“What makes Voya so special is how it reflects Mississauga City Centre’s unique duality,” added Babineau. “This is a location where residents enjoy urban conveniences but are still surrounded by open greenspaces. That’s a rare find for an urban setting.”

At the heart of the neighbourhood — and walking distance from Voya — is Ontario’s largest mall, Square One Shopping Centre. This shopping and entertainment hub houses over 2.2 million square feet of retail space including anchor tenants like Holt Renfrew, Simons, Hudson’s Bay, Walmart and The Rec Room.

Meanwhile, foodies will enjoy the variety of gourmet dishes and tasty treats at Square One’s Food District. The interactive food concept elevates the typical mall food court experience by offering local, high-quality fare within a setting inspired by modern and vintage food emporiums. Guests can even partake in tastings, cooking classes, dinner parties, book signings and other special events.

Also in the neighbourhood is the Art Gallery of Mississauga, Sheridan College, Living Arts Centre, Celebration Square, Whole Foods Market and Mississauga City Hall. You’ll also find convenient access to public transit at the City Centre terminal, which offers connections to the GO Transit hub, MiWay Transitway and future Hurontario LRT. Those who prefer taking their own wheels are within six kilometres of three major highways that connect the rest of the GTA including Pearson International Airport.

Closer to home, residents of Voya will have access to approximately 10,000 square feet of retail space situated between the two residential towers. Plus, there are plans for a new grocery store to be built within the community.

Voya’s residential amenities are split between the ground floor and fifth floor, facing the park side. Residents and guests enter through a two-storey, hotel-inspired lobby designed by TACT Design with a 24-hour concierge. Other amenities include a party and games room, golf simulator, business lounge, electric car charging stations, and an exercise room and yoga studio. There’s also abundant outdoor space, highlighted by the barbecue and dining area, hot tub, green roof and kids’ play area.

Available suites boast thoughtfully-designed living spaces and sophisticated style with three custom-designed interior finish palettes designed by TV designers Brian McCourt and Trish Johnston. Standard features include nine-foot ceilings in main living areas, vinyl plank flooring throughout and floor to ceiling windows to maximize those city and park views.

Kitchens impress with square-edge quartz countertops and a chef-inspired premium kitchen appliance package consisting of a panelled refrigerator and dishwasher, stainless steel hood fan, and a built-in electric cooktop and wall oven. Custom-designed, flat panel, soft-closing cabinetry adds a contemporary look and is enhanced with sleek brushed chrome or nickel pulls and under-cabinet lighting.
