Hillmont is the latest phase of SXSW, a 42-acre master-planned community at Islington Avenue and Highway 407 in Vaughan. The development by Primont Homes consists of two contemporary condominium towers with luxurious suites and amenities, surrounded by landscaped gardens and a picturesque 30-acre ravine.

Designed by BDP Quadrangle, the 19- and 22-storey towers rise from a shared podium and feature modern architecture characterized by bold lines and subtle, fluid curves. The design is not only eye-catching but creates opportunities for large balconies that promote seamless outdoor living. BDP Quadrangle worked closely with interior design firm figure3 and landscape architects Nak Design Strategies to ensure aesthetic harmony between outdoor and indoor spaces, and public and private realms.

Interior spaces by figure3 are designed to reflect the development’s natural ravine setting by incorporating warm tones, varying textures and a neutral colour palette. Natural materials like wood, stone and metal welcome you home and help to convey a feeling of comfort and tranquility.

The double-height lobby boasts soaring ceilings, a stunning wood feature wall and a marble concierge desk. You’ll find a hotel-inspired coffee bar and lounge off the main lobby, along with a marble and wood-hued lobby bar and social room with garden views. A fully-equipped fitness facility comes complete with the latest in cardio and weight training equipment, a yoga studio and a Peloton room. An outdoor terrace is available for summer barbecues, while an onsite ‘Think Space’ and Zoom room cater to entrepreneurs and remote workers.

More amenities are just steps away within the larger SXSW community. A neighbourhood park provides a plethora of options for recreation and relaxation including a ravine lookout, basketball court and a kids’ play zone. Residents will also benefit from exclusive SXSW shuttle service to the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) subway station and to York University. From the VMC, it’s a 45-minute subway ride to Union Station in downtown Toronto, making it ideal for commuters.

The VMC itself is a major destination poised to become Vaughan’s new downtown core. Combined with the subway station and a Viva bus terminal, the VMC will be home to a variety of retailers, financial institutions, restaurants, cafes, parks and commercial offices.
