Galleria on the Park is a sprawling master-planned community in the midst of transforming the corner of Dufferin and Dupont Street. The development is located on the site of the former Galleria Mall, which Elad Canada purchased in 2015 and plans to redevelop into a 20-acre mixed-use community with new residences, a pedestrian mews featuring retail spaces, a 95,000-square-foot community centre and a brand new eight-acre park.
Construction at Galleria on the Park began in late 2019 as crews prepared the site for demolition. Demolition took place for most of the spring, followed by excavation and shoring on the first two phases. Today, work on the project is moving at full steam after the crane was installed in early February.
On the sales side, the developer recently released a new collection of balcony and terrace units from the first and second phases. Meanwhile, the third and newest phase of the project, Galleria III, is now on sale. Situated on the northeastern corner of the property at Dufferin and Dupont, the 31-storey residence will sit at the gateway to the community with its stunning flatiron tower.
Envisioned by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the design celebrates and pays homage to the area’s unique industrial heritage. The tower rises from a brick-clad, multi-level podium and sports straight, vertical metal guardrails on balconies and metal panels inspired by intricate patterns of steel radiators.
The base of the building will house a series of two-storey retail spaces with new restaurants, cafes and services for the neighbourhood. A diagonal pedestrian mews, designed by landscape architect Janet Rosenberg & Studio, connects the residence with the rest of the community, including the new eight-acre Wallace Emerson Park and Community Centre.
Sophisticated interiors by DesignAgency include a stunning double-height lobby with curved walls and arches, and time-honoured finishes like leather and wood. These natural elements are paired with sleek seating surfaces, bold light fixtures and custom artwork.
Those who work remotely will appreciate the fully-equipped co-working space, complete with semi-private desks and meetings rooms. Other amenities include a fully-equipped fitness centre with a yoga room, spin studio and meditation room, an 11th-floor social lounge with a fireplace and billiards table, and an elevated swimming pool with cabanas overlooking the neighbourhood.
Prices at Galleria III start from $498,900. To learn more, be sure to register online for the latest updates and to gain priority status or book a virtual appointment with the presentation centre.
