The Saint is a 47-storey condo tower coming soon to 89 Church Street in the east end of downtown Toronto.

The project by Minto Communities Canada celebrated several wins in 2020, including being named the best Mid- to High-Rise Condo or Apartment Project at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) National Awards for Housing Excellence.

Last year also saw the start of construction at The Saint as crews demolished the existing building on the lot in August. The two-storey commercial building was situated on the northwest corner and was previously home to the Lighthouse Shisha Lounge. The rest of the site was used as a surface parking lot.

Minto hit another milestone in September with a formal groundbreaking ceremony, attended by the project team, complete with a food truck and golden shovels. It wasn’t long after the event when heavy machinery and drilling rigs were brought in to start the shoring phase. This is an important part of the construction process as the shoring system holds back the surrounding soil as trades excavate the land.

When complete in 2023, The Saint will feature a Wallman Architects-designed glass tower anchored by a brick masonry podium that was designed to blend with the neighbouring buildings.

Interiors are by Figure3 and boast a Japanese-inspired theme within the wellness amenities and residential suites. Onsite amenities include an infrared sauna, soaking tub, steam room, and a glowing meditation room with an entire wall made up of illuminated salt rock.

Available suites include one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations with high ceilings, natural wood floors and large kitchens.
