After a challenging year for the entire housing industry, Collecdev is wrapping up 2020 on a positive note.

Earlier this week, the Toronto-based developer won multiple categories at The Nationals 2021 Silver Awards for its Nørdic Condos and Tretti Condos projects in Toronto. This follows a major win at the 2020 Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) Awards in November, where Nørdic Condos was awarded the Prestige Award for Project of the Year in the high- or mid-rise category.

“The tremendous success of winning the 2021 Nationals Silver award in the esteemed category of ‘Multifamily Community of the Year’ for both Tretti and Nordic Condos, as well as the OHBA’s ‘Project of the Year’ for Nordic Condos is a testament of the hard work and dedication to building better communities,” said Natascha Pieper, VP of Sales and Marketing at Collecdev. “Bringing new homes to 777 purchasers is a collective approach to development, creating communities that last a lifetime.”

Located in Toronto’s Wilson Heights neighbourhood, Tretti is a contemporary 13-storey condominium that offers Scandinavian-inspired living. Clean lines, simplicity in design and connection to nature were top of mind for architects gh3*, while interiors by EsQape Design Inc. reflect the Danish concept of hygge which encompasses a state of well-being, cozy comfort and the art of creating a balanced lifestyle. Abundant natural light, open-concept layouts flow freely from one room to the next, while elegant finishes consist of a harmonious palette of natural materials and textures.

The nearby Nørdic Condos was also designed by gh3* and boasts similar Scandinavian inspired elements. The 12-storey residence is inspired by the Scandinavian philosophy of Friluftsliv, which recognizes the relationship between human well-being and the rejuvenating forces of nature.

A unique feature of these communities is Collecdev’s use of a geothermal energy system which reduces carbon emissions by up to 70 percent and saves over 5 million litres of water annually. Geothermal technology helps lower maintenance and operational costs compared to a traditional building, while also providing residents with predictable monthly utility costs. Other eco-friendly building features includes electric car charging stations, high performance thermal envelopes that minimize unwanted solar gain and heat loss, bird-friendly glazing, Energy Star appliances and Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) in each suite to reduce energy demands and enhance air quality.

These sold-out communities have a simple, yet elegant exterior design characterized by clean, modern lines and a crisp white facade emphasized by large balconies and terraces. These communities offer a variety of amenities including co-working spaces, children’s play areas, outdoor terraces, pet wash stations and party rooms that contribute to a thriving sense of place and award winning residences for 777 happy purchasers and new members of the Wilson Heights community.

Established in 1992, The Nationals celebrate the best new-home sales and marketing throughout North America and recognize outstanding achievements in several categories, from sales offices and model homes to websites and advertising campaigns. The winners were selected by a panel of industry experts who reviewed over 900 entries. Collecdev won 6 2021 Silver Awards in the following categories:

Tretti Condos – Multifamily Community of the Year (Four storeys and above)
Tretti Condos – Best Email Marketing / Web Banners / Rich Media Advertising
Tretti Condos – Best landscape of a community
Nørdic Condos – Multifamily Community of the Year (Four storeys and above)

“Collecdev is honoured to have received six Silver awards from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB),” said Pieper. “The collective experiences and skill sets of our dedicated team offers a united approach to real estate development that keeps community needs top-of-mind. The combined passion that brings us together is really what sets us apart.”

Just recently, Nørdic Condos took home the Prestige Awards for Project of the Year in the high- or mid-rise category at the 2020 Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) Awards.

First held in 1991, the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) Awards of Distinction (AoD) recognizes the creativity, innovation and talent of land developers, builders, renovators and designers throughout the province. The annual ceremony is judged by a panel of industry professionals from across Canada and consists of 42 categories ranging from excellence in building and professional renovations, to sales and marketing. Due to the pandemic, the event was presented virtually with host James Cunningham, through an online event portal which included networking opportunities, virtual booths, a play-to-win challenge and prizes.
