In Houston’s Tanglewood community, known for its million-dollar homes and tree-lined streets, a new condominium high-rise is preparing for its debut.
The Hawthorne is a collection of 67 luxury condominiums situated on San Felipe Street near Chimney Rock Road.
Developer William Giddings Farrington named the Tanglewood neighborhood after his daughter’s favorite book, Tanglewood Tales by Nathaniel Hawthorne. The 17-story condominium community, created by Houston-based developer Pelican Builders, borrows its name from the author of the children’s novel.
Ranging from 1,517 to 3,775 square feet in size, these two- to four-bedroom condos promise 360-degree views and access to five-star services. Each home at The Hawthorne caters 10-foot ceilings and engineered hardwood floors paired with recessed LED lighting and balconies with gas grill capabilities.
Under-cabinet lighting and porcelain or engineered quartz countertops make up the kitchens, while the bathrooms feature chrome plumbing fixtures and frameless glass showers. Every home also includes a range of interior perks like motorized window shades and pre-wiring for smart home technology.
Future residents will have access to a myriad of on-site conveniences. Take a dip in the 67-foot-long pool after a workout in the fitness center, or hang out in the fifth-floor lounge with gaming tables and a catering kitchen. A concierge team, valet parking and porter will be made available, or, for an additional fee, residents can also access laundry, pet-walking and floral delivery services.
The Hawthorne is within walking distance of schools, restaurants and Grady Park. Access to Loop 610 and I-10 can easily transport residents to Memorial Park and downtown Houston.
According to the latest data from BuzzBuzzHome, prices for The Hawthorne range from $1,220,550 to $3,925,000.
