The Harbour Club walked away as the most decorated award-winning project at this year’s Ontario Home Builders’ Association Awards of Distinction program.

The Harbour Club luxury waterfront condominium development took home an outstanding trifecta of prestigious awards in both the architectural design and on-site presentation categories — Mid-Rise Building (four to 10 storeys), High or Mid-Rise Condo Suite (four-plus storeys, 801 square feet and over), and New Home Sales Office (1,501 square feet and over).

The SDR Group is credited with winning the best suite design and the best on-site presentation award, while the mid-rise building win is attributed to the work of the Toronto-based Jason Fung OAA Architect. These awards are three of the most important and meaningful of those presented in the AoD.

The OHBA AoD seeks to recognize the industry’s very best in residential construction, design, development and marketing. This triple-award win acknowledges the ambitious vision and outstanding design quality The Harbour Club is creating for St. Catharines’ historic Port Dalhousie community.

Port Dalhousie Harbour Club Limited thanks the OHBA for awarding The Harbour Club with the honor of being selected as the best mid-rise building [award],” said the developers.

The Harbour Club is pleased to lead a revitalization of the iconic Lincoln Fabrics building in the fabulous community of Port Dalhousie, and our team is so looking forward to seeing this fantastic development spring to life,” they added.

A joint venture between reputable developers Valour Group and The SDR Group, The Harbour Club is a nine-storey bespoke collection of 123 heritage lofts and estate residences on Lakeport Road that offers a one-of-a-kind waterfront resort-style living experience. Valour Group, an expert in all fields of real estate, backed by unwavering reliability and passion, teamed up with The SDR Group to jointly develop this prestigious enclave of heritage lofts and estate residences.

The amenity-rich condominium development takes a century-old red brick factory building once inhabited by Maple Leaf Rubber Company and Lincoln Fabrics, and transforms it into a resort-style experience with care-free living. When completed in 2022, The Harbour Club will host elements of the history-rich heritage building, like the preserved water flywheel, in addition to a range of newly-created modern comforts and amenities.

Residents can select from four impeccable residence collections — The Harbour Estates, The Heritage Lofts, The Heritage Lofts Penthouses and The Live-Work Suites. The suites range from 646 to 3,342 square feet and offer well-planned one-bedroom to three-bedroom-plus-den layouts from which to choose.

Every home boasts an array of high-end finishes and features augmented with high ceilings, engineered hardwood flooring and designer paint choices. Residents can unwind in the ensuite bathroom retreat, where frameless glass showers and freestanding soaker tubs in select plans are found. Favourite recipes for family and friends can be expertly prepared in the gourmet kitchens with soft-close cabinetry and sparkling quartz countertops.

Pricing starts from $608,900. Pro Funds Mortgages, a branch of Valour Group of Companies, can provide all Harbour Club unit purchasers with private and institutional mortgage funding.

The Harbourmaster suite, which won in the AoD’s architectural design category, integrates both contemporary and heritage features that will be seen throughout The Harbour Club.

“The suite was designed to provide its owners with the ability to enjoy the magnificent waterfront views,” explained the suite’s designer.

Future residents will have access to a number of indoor and outdoor amenities by becoming “Exclusive Harbour Club Members.” Tipping its hat to its ship-building past, The Harbour Club will provide a marina-side terrace that overlooks private boat slips in the harbour. A library, games room, private event space and a fully-equipped fitness studio will provide hours of entertainment and relaxation, in addition to The Harbour Club’s multitude of proposed on-site upscale conveniences such as a concierge and ride-share cars.

The stunning Waterfront Sails Pavilion scored a win for its interwoven nautical theme and suite conceptualization. Repurposing a former restaurant, the 3,500-square-foot sales centre captures the aesthetics of the future finished building, while showcasing its stunning waterfront views.
