High Park is Toronto’s largest greenspace with several hiking trails, playgrounds, sports facilities, and diverse plant and animal life. At 399 acres, it may be dwarfed by other famous urban parks like Vancouver’s Stanley Park and New York’s Central Park, but it more than makes up for it in its charm.

A walk along the Grenadier Pond will find you in the middle of a tranquil oasis surrounded by local wildlife, while a visit to the High Park Zoo allows you to get up close with llamas, bison, deer, capybaras and peacocks. And who can forget the famous Sakura trees that bloom in April or May and attract huge crowds of locals and tourists alike?

For those looking to move into the neighbourhood and have one of the city’s greatest amenities nearby, check out this list of six brand new condo developments within walking distance of High Park.
