The opening of the TTC station at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) in 2017 marked the beginning of the city’s emerging transit hub and cemented the area’s status as Vaughan’s new downtown core. Located close to Highways 400 and 7, the VMC station opened up access to the City of Vaughan, allowing commuters to travel by subway to Toronto’s Union Station in under 45 minutes, and is expected to attract thousands of new residents.
