Construction is ramping up at the site of 3670 Motor Avenue, a new six-story apartment building being developed by RBM of California. Located at the corner of Tabor Street and Motor Avenue, the modern-looking rental building will feature one-bedroom layouts with private outdoor balconies and sought-after amenities like a pool area and fitness room.

Crews have finished framing the third floor and are now beginning work on the fourth. The timber and concrete design was dreamed up by DE Architects AIA and the interiors will be crafted by Caisson Studios.

When complete, 3670 Motor Avenue will offer 42 apartments, including four affordable housing units, ground floor retail space and 52 underground parking stalls. Apartment interiors will be characterized by nine-foot ceilings, walk-in closets, in-unit washers and dryers, recessed LED lighting, vinyl plank flooring and energy-saving dual pane windows.

The chef-worthy kitchens will come complete with quartz countertops, mosaic Carrara marble backsplashes, imported modern cabinetry and Frigidaire Gallery Collection appliances. Balconies will boast green frosted glass for a pop of color and tech features like Nest learning thermostats and a FOB security key system will also be included. If you’re looking for a new apartment for you and your furry friend, there’s good news — pets will be considered with a deposit and additional rent.

The current renderings for 3670 Motor Avenue show off some of its amenity spaces, including that aforementioned pool area, which will be surrounded by cabanas, lounge chairs and a barbecue. Plans are also in the works for a well-equipped fitness room and an expansive rooftop patio with a cozy gas fire pit.

The building’s prime location will put future residents within walking distance of Expo/Palms station, Palms Elementary School, Woodbine Park, Kogi Taqueria and Coffee Commissary. A 20-minute walk or four-minute drive finds you in Downtown Culver City, home to raved-about restaurants, charming boutiques, historic hotels, a Trader Joe’s and ArcLight Cinemas.
