With sales ongoing for Montreal’s tallest and most anticipated condominium tower, strong buyer demand has quickly made way for an outstanding sales launch.

Award-winning developer Brivia Group is celebrating their massive sales success for the first phase of 500 residential units at 1 Square Phillips. Sales for the 61-storey tower kicked off in September, followed by a public opening of the presentation centre in early November. With the 1 Square Phillips sales office officially open, over 60 percent of the units have sold to date.

Soaring 232.5 meters above the St. Lawrence River, the immaculately devised tower at 1201 Place Phillips will forever change Montreal’s skyline, while showcasing the work of some of North America’s most esteemed designers and creatives. Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux Architectes (MSDL), along with the New York-based, the high-rise experts at Hill West Architects, collaborated on this contemporary-style tower. The structure’s three large volumes of differing heights allow 1 Square Phillips to blend perfectly into the urban fabric of Montreal, according to architect and senior partner with MSDL Architectes, Anik Shooner.

“This unique composition of volumes and the spectacular outdoor green space on the 50th floor will provide stunning views of Montreal’s cityscape,” explains Shooner. “This tower emerges from an oasis created in the heart of the island; residents will enjoy tranquility and nature while they take advantage of all the activity downtown.”

Priced from the $400,000s, the diverse residential floorplan collection at 1 Square Phillips caters to the individual needs of every prospective buyer. For those seeking the most exclusive layout offerings, the penthouse collection is one of the project’s signature elements. Twenty-four penthouses and three super-penthouses are available, ranging from 372 to 3,500 square feet and featuring high-end interior finishes.

The amenities and services offered at 1 Square Phillips are truly exceptional. A 12,000-square-foot fitness centre with a yoga studio, pools and spas rivals any state-of-the-art fitness facility. The building’s exclusive dog park, grocery receiving area, heated sidewalks and green roofs offer something unique to future residents, an explanation for the sweeping sales success this project has seen so far.

“This project exceeds all of today’s expectations. We have never seen this much interest from Montrealers for living downtown. Future residents seek the best of what is available in different real estate markets. This is what Brivia Group is offering at 1 Square Phillips. And we’re not stopping there,” said Kheng Ly, the founder and CEO of Brivia Group.

On the 50th floor, the 5,700-square-foot Sky Lounge will offer stunning views, alongside premium conveniences available for the enjoyment of all residents and their guests. Throughout a series of interconnected rooms, unrivaled comforts present themselves, including multiple lounge areas, a co-working zone, games area and whiskey bar.

Adjoining the Sky Lounge is a 4,100-square-foot outdoor terrace. Imagined by renowned Montreal landscape architects, Claude Cormier & Associates, the terrace will provide residents with a lush, green refuge surrounded by magnificent, panoramic views of Mount Royal, the St. Lawrence River and downtown Montreal.

The magic of Claude Cormier doesn’t end at the terrace. Claude Cormier, a senior partner with Claude Cormier & Associates, took to designing the landscaping that surrounds 1 Square Phillips’ entranceway. Drawing inspiration from Square Phillips and its historical monument of King Edward VII, the tilework flaunts the Prince of Wales pattern, which embellishes the footpath leading to the building’s lobby, accompanied by evergreens planted in bonsai pots. The outdoor entrance mimics a secret garden hidden in the city, with its secluded location and integrated heating system that provides residents a convenient escape from the bustle of downtown.

“In creating this exceptional outdoor space, we were inspired by historic Square Phillips that commemorates Edward VII as it intersects with modern-day Montreal,” says Cormier. “Residents and visitors alike will be delighted by a calm, green setting that will be unique in Montreal.”

When fully complete in 2024, 1 Square Phillips will attract 1,100 new residents to the neighbourhood, injecting economic stimulation into the local area. Through a direct entrance onto Saint-Alexandre Street, residents will have best of Montreal just steps away from home. A plethora of high-end shopping, dining and entertainment awaits, with the Time Out Market in le Centre Eaton, Quartier des spectacles and Hudson’s Bay just down the street.
