When Legacy Partners’ latest apartment community, The Triangle, was in the design phase, the architects at Tiscareno Associates worked to make the most of the unique property in Downtown Redmond.

The building is located at 16450 Redmond Way, a triangular lot where Redmond meets 166th Avenue NE and NE 79th Street. Far from from typical, the three-sided parcel of land provided challenges. But it also offered potential for the distinct, iconic mixed-use concept that is now becoming a reality.

“Form and function went hand in hand on this project as we pieced together the puzzle. Each corner of the Triangle has a unique expression as well,” explains Kate Miller, associate principal architect for Tiscareno. “We refer to the signature west corner as the ‘Flatiron’ of downtown Redmond because it echoes the shape of the famous NYC landmark building,” Miller adds.

Once complete, The Triangle will offer a versatile collection of suites, including one- and two-bedroom apartments as well as lofts and live/work units, with monthly rents from $1,800. Select homes have unique character features like sliding bedroom barn doors, and all residences boast contemporary kitchens and spa-like bathrooms. Legacy Partners has also incorporated 9,500 square feet of amenities, 195 parking spots, and 4,775 square feet of retail, an added convenience, into the community.

The amenities were designed to support active living and wellness. Each home has bike storage, and there is a rock climbing wall and state-of-the-art fitness center right on site. For unwinding, there’s an elevated courtyard, featuring an outdoor fireplace, dining area, lounge chairs, ping pong table, barbeques and hammocks. Inside, an entertainment space comes with a full kitchen, dining area, fireplace and large-screen TV, and a media room provides additional room for social gatherings.

Residents will find The Triangle in the middle of established neighborhoods Old Town and Anderson Park. The community is mere blocks from Redmond Town Center and the site of a future light-rail station.

Legacy Partners is currently leasing suites at The Triangle, with one month free rent on select units.
