Developers Metropia and Context have big plans for Toronto’s Lawrence Heights neighbourhood. The developers have released plans for the next phase of The New Lawrence Heights, a 100-acre master-planned community with over 4,000 new residential units. A mix of townhomes, condominiums and affordably-priced rental units will be available, providing a range of options for families in the area.

Already home to the The Yorkdale Condominiums, now nearing completion at Allen Road and Ranee Avenue, the next phase of the community will begin with the release of an all-new townhome community. Exteriors feature a range of warm colour tones and modern architecture, while interiors boast innovative features and exquisite finishes. Prospective homebuyers will also have a wide range of thoughtfully-designed floorplans to choose from to suit individual tastes and lifestyles. Plus, future phases will include singles, additional townhomes, condominiums and stylish affordable rentals.

Of course, a master-planned community wouldn’t be complete without world-class public amenities. When completed, The New Lawrence Heights will feature exciting new community facilities for all, starting with a full-sized community centre. This state-of-the-art facility will offer a range of family-friendly amenities designed for active lifestyles. While plans are still being finalized, the initial proposal suggests the building will include several pools, multipurpose rooms and a gym with fitness facilities. Other planned amenities include over 12 acres of new park spaces spread throughout the neighbourhood, playgrounds and a fully-renovated public school.

As socially responsible community builders, Context and Metropia are committed to helping existing Lawrence Heights residents through social initiatives for local families. The developers have already contributed $500,000 to establish the “Building Our Future: Limitless Heights Scholarship” to provide residents with financial support for post-secondary education. And, an additional $3.5 million has been committed towards resident employment and training.
