Today, Citi Habitats released a dozen fresh renderings of Aspen Equities’ new development, The Lawrence. The rental building will bring 50 new units to the Prospect Lefferts Gardens (PLG) neighborhood.
The renderings give us our first peek at the development’s interior and exterior, as well as some of its amenities, which include a rooftop terrace.
Located on a quiet, tree-lined street at 520 Parkside Avenue in PLG, the site formerly housed a quirky, water-damaged derelict house, known locally as the “crazy house” as noted by Curbed. The home was razed in 2014 to make way for The Lawrence,.
Units boast sleek modern finishes and amenities normally found in pricier Manhattan developments, like large private balconies and in-unit washers and dryers. Kitchens include a full range of Bosch appliances and bathrooms have Kohler soaking tubs. Oversized windows flood the units with natural light.
Some of the notable amenities found at The Lawrence include a fully landscaped common rooftop deck, a virtual doorman and a state-of-the art fitness center. The Lawrence also has a pet spa.
Proximity to mass transit makes PLG an ideal area for commuters and the neighborhood has a wealth of local restaurants and shops. The “big name” chains, for now at least, are notably absent from PLG. Nearby Prospect Park offers a wide array of year round outdoor amenities and activities.
PLG is still one of the borough’s best kept secrets, where new development is uncommon and housing remains relatively affordable.
Leases for available units range in price from $1,938 to $3,092.
