Toronto’s eastern waterfront is finally coming into its own. The former industrial site is set to transform in the coming years, bringing new residential and commercial development, urban parks and public spaces to the area. Lakeside Residences is the latest addition to the innovative new neighbourhood — the multi-tower masterplanned community by Greenland Group Canada will feature nearly 2,000 condominiums and 30,000 square feet of retail space.

Conceived by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the sail-shaped design of the two main towers takes visual cues from the city’s lively waterfront. With nearby access to both the lake and imaginative new parks, residents will be able to enjoy everything their revitalized neighbourhood has to offer. Google’s 12-acre Sidewalk Toronto project is also just steps away from Lakeside Residences. The “smart city” development combines urban design with digital technology, and will attract thousands of new jobs and residents.

Greenland Group Canada’s own masterplanned community, located at 215 Lake Shore Boulevard East, promises to deliver exceptional residences, luxury amenities and landscaped exterior spaces. Sales of Phase One have been brisk and the development’s latest collection, known as the Park Suites, will launch later this month. The Park Suites are situated within the building’s podium and sales are to be managed by Milborne Group.

A number of flexible layout options are available at Lakeside Residences, such as the one-bedroom, two-den suites. These coveted bonus spaces could function as separate dining rooms, additional bedrooms or home offices. The interiors were crafted by renowned interior design firm Cecconi Simone, incorporating contemporary finishes, generous outdoor spaces and floor-to-ceiling windows (as per plan).

The design team at Cecconi Simone also outfitted Lakeside Residences’ amenity spaces, including a stylish lobby, state-of-the-art fitness centre with a sauna and steam rooms, children’s play area, party room, games area and a rooftop terrace that offers sweeping views of Lake Ontario.

A dynamic exterior courtyard is located at the base of the tower, designed by award-winning landscape architecture and urban design firm Janet Rosenberg & Studio Inc. The space will serve as an urban backyard, emphasizing leisure, parklands and easy access to cafes and retail amenities.
